For comparison, we must make their denominators equal by taking their least common multiple(LCM) . The LCM of 4 and 16 is 16.

So, 3/4 = 3*4 / 4*4 = 12/16

Now, 12/16 > 9/16 i.e. 3/4 > 9/16

So. 3:4 is larger between 3:4 and 9:16.
