Given:

2(x + 5)-7= 3(x - 2)

To Find:

• Value of x

Solution:

⇒ 2(x + 5)-7= 3(x - 2)

⇒ 2x+10-7= 3x - 6

Rearranging the like terms,

⇒ 3x-2x = 10 + 6-7

⇒x=16-7

⇒x=9

Verification:

⇒ 2(x + 5)-7= 3(x - 2)

Putting x = 9,

⇒2(9+5)-7= 3(9 - 2)

2(14)-7= 3(7)

⇒28-7=21

⇒ 21 = 21

→ LHS = RHS

HENCE VERIFIED!!!
