Answer:

y = 4/5x -4

Explanation:

slope intercept form: y=mx + b

where slope = m and b = y-intercept

Finding slope: slope = rise/run

Begin by finding two places where the line neatly crosses the grid. The two noticeable places are at (0,-4) and (5,0).

As a note, ordered pairs are written in this format: (x,y)

to fund slope we will find:

slope = the change in rise/ change in run

slope = change in y/change in x

slope = (-4 - 0)/(0-5)

slope = -4/-5

slope = 4/5

y-intercept occurs when x = 0. When x = 0, y = -4

so in the ordered pair format, the y-intercept is (0,-4)

Insert information into the slope intercept form: y=mx + b

y = 4/5x + (-4)

so:

y = 4/5x -4
