A parent of one of your (future) students complains that their child is not practicing calculations but, instead, is struggling with problems and mathematical tasks. The parent doesn’t think you’re teaching mathematics the ‘right’ way. They are frustrated with common core and they think your math lessons are too difficult. How would you respond to the parent?

I would first try to calm the parent down and then ask said parent what kind of math or calculation level the child is on at home and i would change the teaching level for said child in class so he can progress farther without having to fall behind on the level he would not be on
