Germans were angry about the Treaty of Versailles. It left them powerless and weak. They felt disillusioned. It only makes sense that Nazi ideals appealed to Germans, with its nationalistic ideals and claims of it going to bring back the great Germany, as well as blaming the Jews for the problems.
