Imagine that you have a one-year-old child, and part of the way that you make your morning easier is that you set aside the clothes that they will wear for the whole week on Sunday. What type of clothing would you consider when creating their outfits in the summer and winter? Describe one summer outfit and one winter outfit that is appropriate for your hypothetical child, and explain why they adhere to guidelines for safe children’s clothing

Answer:

Winter: a thick pair of wool socks with laced boots, leggings underneath a pair of jeans, and a long sleeve shirt underneath a jacket. (If outside, then a big coat over top)

Summer: strappable sandals, shorts, and a short sleeve t-shirt. (If outside, a hat to protect baby's head) (sunscreen included)

Winter (reason): plenty layers of clothes will keep them warm and protected from the cold.

Summer (reason): putting them in less clothing but still a reasonable amount will keep them from getting overheated and protected from the sun using sunscreen.
