I think I did this right x = 6

Explanation:

Since all angles are supposed to add up to 180°, I just added 70° and 60° together to get 130°, and then subtracted it from 180° to get 50. Next I plugged it in to

8x + 2 = 50, and from that I subtracted 2 on both sides to get 48 and then divided 8 on both sides, to get x by its self, and that leaves us with x = 6 because 48 ÷ 8 = 6.

Sum of the interior angles of any triangle equal to 180 degrees thus :

60 + 70 + 8x + 2 = 180

8x + 132 = 180

Subtract both sides 132

8x + 132 - 132 = 180 - 132

8x = 48

Divide both sides by 8

8x ÷ 8 = 48 ÷ 8

x = 6
