The greater number = 6

The smaller number = 4

The ratio is 6/4 = 3/2

Isn't that a bit amazing? If you multiply 6 * 4 you get 24. You would think that that is the lowest common multiple. It isn't.

6: 3 * 2

4: 2 * 2

The lowest common multiple is one with 1 three and 2 twos.
