Answer:

x= 11/31 and y=185/31

Explanation:

Solve for y in 14x-y=-1 and get y=1+14x

substitute and get 31x+2=13and then

solve for x in 31x+2=13 and get x=11/31

then substitute x=11/31 into y= 1+14x and

y = 185/31

Answer:

Explanation:

14x - y = -1

14x = y -1

14x +1 = y

Substitute into other problem:

3x + 2(14x +1) =13

3x + (28x + 2) = 13

31x + 2 = 13

31x = 11

x = 11/31
