Answer: To convert a decimal to a fraction, place the decimal number over its place value. For example, in 0.6, the six is in the tenths place, so we place 6 over 10 to create the equivalent fraction,
(6)/(10). If needed, simplify the fraction.

Ok so I was very confused on this too. Not even going to lie to ya, I struggled with this for a long time. However once you get the hang of it, it's actually rather simple.

So, lets try a problem. What is 0.04 as a fraction?

Well, we know that 0.04 is 4%. And you can do
(4)/(100) which is 0.04, or 4%

Does that make sense? If not let me explain it a little more.

Well basically all you have to do is put that number over 100.

Here are some examples of decimals to percentage to fraction:

0.5 = 50% =
(50)/(100) or in simplest form
(1)/(2)

0.11 = 11% =
(11)/(100)

0.03 = 3% =
(3)/(100)

I really hope this helped you!!!

If not let me know how i can explain it and what doesn't make sense!
