To Find :

Width of the rectangle.

Solution :

Let the length of the rectangle be x cm.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be y cm.

Case 1:

We have the formula for area of the rectangle as follows :

l = length → x cm

b = breadth → y cm.

Substitute, x = 96/y in equation 1,

Divide by minus sign,

As per assumption, y = breadth of the rectangle.
