Answer:

External security is meant to confine prisoners within the facility and ensure that free members of society cannot access the prison. when constructing a prison facility, its design and layout have a direct impact on how secure the building will be. Other amenities that constitute external security include detection systems such as alarms and surveillance cameras, high walls and security fences. technologies such as Advanced Vehicle Interrogation and Notification System help detect potential breakouts and help stop them. Internal security involves well trained prison officers who ensure that the prisons run smoothly. They conduct searches and control movement inside and outside the prison.

As a correctional official, I will undertake numerous training sessions to ensure that i am well equipped to handle incidents that may occur within the prison. I will also familiarize myself with new technologies that may be vital in improving efficiency. I will also conduct random security checks to ensure external security systems are running smoothly to minimize and eradicate chances of breakouts
