What is a vignette? How do you write one? (format and style)

I'm supposed to write one for English and I don't even know what I'm writing, an example of some kind would be nice (but not required)

A vignette is a short and descriptive piece of writing that captures a brief period in time. Vignettes are more focused on vivid imagery and meaning rather than plot.

They usually have short scenes, moments, a character, a theme, a setting, an idea and an object. It's also usually 1-2 scenes of a story.
