HELP PLSSS

Oscar left a partially deflated balloon in his hot car for a couple of hours. When he returned the balloon seemed to be fully inflated. Somehow the volume of the balloon increased without anyone adding more air! Explain how this happened.

This behavior is explained by the ideal gas law of PV=nRT. When the temperature increases, so does the volume (when the pressure is constant).

This is because the kinetic energy of the gas molecules increases as the temperature goes up, so the gas molecules move around more and take up more space.
