Answer:

x = 12

Explanation:

You apply distributive property on the parenthesis:

3.3x - 26.4 - x = 1.2

You then add like terms.

3.3x - x = 2.3x

2.3x - 26.4 = 1.2

You add 26.4 to both sides to isolate x.

(Additive property of equality.)

2.3x = 27.6

Divide both sides by 2.3

(Division Property of equality.)

x = 12
