Answer:

Question 1:

Using emphasis in the story like " Zach's eyes lit up." and "When Zach got back from the library that afternoon, he was full of news for Dora." keeps the story at a light pace, and uses it to attract the readers. There can be an exciting rush in the story like where it says, "His wife's maiden name is Crookston. So when I thought I heard Hyesmith yell,' You're a crook's song,' what he was saying was Crookston." The author doesn't forget the main characters, so he adds their rection that plays a big part." "Cool!" Dara yelped, and she jumped up from her chair and started pacing the room like a detective thinking about clues."

Question 2:

This story can be believable because it has realistic characters, settings, and situations. It can also be believed because of the events that happen in reaction to the events. "That means he was really saying that Ms.Quinlan was related to his murdered wife!" "Exactly!" Zach exclaimed."Anyway, the article I read about the murder said the Crookston family believed Mr. Hyesmith had his wife killed by a boxer named Jenkins," Also, the information that Zach digs up, also has a realistic quality in it. For example: "Hippolyta. She's an Amazon queen in Greek mythology. Mr. Heyesmith knows all about her since she's the subject of his next sculpture." and "the article I read about the murder said the Crookston family believed Mr. Hyesmith had his wife killed by a boxer named Jenkins,". The story can also be unbelieved because of how quick the police were to get into the house. "as deputies searched the house."

Question 3:

Unpredictable and obscure is how I would describe Derek Hyesmith. For example: "No," said Hyesmith, looking around the statue-filled room. "Not just two," he said with a giggle.*" - proves of him acting obscure and " I saw smoke out of one of the chimneys around noon. And it was hot today! Zach's eyes lit up. "Maybe he was burning evidence of some kind. I say it's about time we call the police." Heysmith was polite and no more nervous than usual when the police showed up the next day. "I fired Ms.Quinlan two days ago," he told the sheriff as deputies searched the mansion." This text evidence shows that he can be unpredictable, and very calm when closing over the edge.

Explanation:

I read the whole story, and I answered all 3 questions, I promise these were not copied off from the web...

You might want to change it a bit before you hand it off because your teacher can find out I wrote it.
