Answer:

Length: 12 cm

Explanation:

2x + 2(x+5) = 38cm

2x + 2x + 10 = 38

4x = 38 - 10

x = 28/4

x = 7

Length: 7+5=12cm

Answer:

12 cm

Explanation:

width = x

length = x + 5

perimeter = 38cm

perimeter = length + width + length + width

x + 5 + x + x + 5 + x = 38

4x + 10 = 38

4x = 28

x = 7

length = x + 5 = 7 + 5 = 12
