It depends where you live, if you live in South America you would say I speak Spanish, the Spanish colonies that were here were horribly mismanaged and is a big reason we are so underdeveloped( this situation applies to Central America too) If I lived in America, I would probably be speaking English, this country was a former colony, and we have similar core values like the British. E.g, we are mainly Christian
