Ninalyux is correct. To explain, here's this:

If you came across the fraction
(2)/(1), you can read it as two over one, or two divided by one. Now let's just stop here. You can read it as two divided by one, but what is two divided by one? The answer: two. Therefore, you can even read the fraction by just saying two.

Other examples:

(5)/(1) Reads as: five, five over one, five divided by one.

*Any fraction with the denominator of one, as a whole number it would be the numerator*

Meaning:
(5)/(1) equals 5.

If this is confusing, let me know! I'm here to help!

Answer: When the denominator of a fraction is equal to 1 and the numerator is nonzero, the value of the fraction is equal to the numerator of the fraction.
