The orange fell to the ground because gravity which is the speed of 9.8 meteres per seond squared acted upon the orange which was hanging on the tree which makes the orange vulverable to the force of gravity this also relates to Newton's law of motion because the rule states "An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force." which in this case the object which was in rest was the orange and the other force was gravity wich will always be a constant.
