The numbers are 24 and 33 so the smaller one is 24

Solve:


\sf (x-9 )/(x) = (8)/(11)

cross multiply


\sf 11x-99= 8x

collect like terms


\sf 11x-8x = 99

\sf x = 33

As the integer is positive, x = 33, then another will be 33 - 9 = 24.
