Your Cousin Marcus is just learning about operations with integers. Can you give him some advice on how to use integers to multiply and divide positive and negative numbers? Write him a letter giving examples. You can even create a resource for him to use to help with his multiplication and division. Make sure to include a word of encouragement to help him stay positive while learning this new skill.

Hey Marcus. In order for you to fully understand this topic you need to remember some rules. RULE 1: The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative. RULE 2: The product of two positive integers is positive. RULE 3: The product of two negative integers is positive. An example for Rule 1 can be 3-5=-2 and an example for tule 2 can be 5+5=10. Whereas for Rule 3 I will give you this example -2•-3=6. I know at this time of your life you may find it challenging ;however trust me that this is very easy when you get a hold of it.
