holistic thinking you’re looking at the whole picture, from different viewpoints, seeing how each part might affect another positively or negatively. Depending on what you’re trying to figure out, this could either lead you to making a very educated decision that you’re sure is right for you OR it could lead you to procrastinating making a decision by feeling as if you need to know everything before a decision can be made.

With partial thinking you’re only looking at one aspect or a small part of the situation. So your decision may end up being biased, rushed or uneducated simply because you were focused on one small part instead of the whole. This could be good if you need to make a very quick decision to avoid danger though if it’s with something that could affect your overall life it could lead to a ripple effect of unforeseen circumstances that may have been preventable had you looked at the issue holistically.
