Two vertices of ABC are A (0, 0) and B(4, 3) . Find the coordinates of C on the positive x -axis such that the value of the

perimeter of the triangle is twice the value of the area of the triangle.

Answer: C=(4,0)

Explanation:

A=Area of Triangle. P=Perimeter of Triangle

A=1/2 * b * h

A=1/2 * 4 * 3

A=1/2 * 12

A=6

P=L+B+H

L=(B^2+H^2)^1/2

L=(4^2+3^2)^1/2

L=(16+9)^1/2

L=25^1/2

L=5

P=5+4+3

P=12

P=A*2

12=6*2

12=12

C=(0+4,0). C=(4, 3-3)

C=(4,0)
