a scale. After removing 0.56 lb, there were 17 coins

Answer:

0.08lb or 1.28oz

Explanation:

From the original weight of coins(1.92lb) if you remove 0.56lb, then the remaining gold is 1.92-0.56 = 1.36lb

Since there are 17 coins, then each coin weighs 1.36lb/17 = 0.08lb

Since there are 16oz to a pound, this would work out to 0.08 x 16 = 1.28 oz
