Hello,

The Earth's seasons would change drastically if an asteroid hits the earth as the asteroid will affect the inner planet of Earth called Theia.

In fact, it's not a planet Theia, but it's also like an asteroid. Theia is an outer space mini planet. When Theia hit Earth billions of years ago, it hit Earth at a particular angle, and it was so perfect that it got the place of controlling Earth's seasons. If it hit at any other angle, then there would we no change in Seasons.

Hope it helps you...

Answer:

In explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

-A lot of energy is released, it would eject an enormous amount of dust, ash, and other material into the atmosphere, blocking the radiation from the Sun. This would cause the global temperature to decrease drastically.

-If the asteroid hits on land, there would be a huge amount of dust thrown up into the atmosphere. If it hits in water, then there would be an increase in water vapor in the atmosphere. This would result in an increase in rain resulting in landslides and mudslides.

-More damage is likely to occur on the ground due to the environmental effects triggered by the impact. Such effects can be shock waves, heat radiation, the formation of craters with associated earthquakes, and tsunamis if water bodies are hit.

Hope this helps.
