Larry travels 60 mph going to a friend's house and at 45 mph come back using the same road. He drove a 5 hour totally. What is the distance from larry's home to his friend's house ?

Answer:

262.5 / 2 miles

= 131.25 miles.

The 1st step is adding the m/h combined x length of one journey sought

60+45 = 105 Adding the m/h together

105 x 2.5 = 262.5 Multiply length the journey sought

Then converting to miles each way we divide by 2

262.5 / 2 = 131.25 miles.
