These two questions can you guys answer for me and show the work

1. x - 18 = -5

x - 18 = -5

add 18 to both sides

x = -5 + 18

add -5 and 18 to get 13

x = 13

2. √x-8 = √-x+2

x = 5

I can't really show work on this one sorry
