10.2 hours is the mean. The total number of hours watched was 61 hours. Take 61 hours and divide this total by 6, which was how many people watched tv. 6 x 10 is 60. There is 1 hour left over, which amounts to 1/6. 1/6 is .166……..6. Therefore the 6 rounds the tenths into an additional tenth. This makes the number of hours rounded to 10.2. Not rounded, would be 10.66666666………..
