from what I can see from the unfocused picture, there are the following whole number points in the function :

(1, 3)

(2, 2)

(5, 1)

a. and d. are the only ones supporting (1, 3). x = 1 makes the square root 0 and therefore y (the functional result) 3.

but (2, 2) or (5, 1) then show we need the negative square root. x = 2 makes the square root 1, and we need -1 to be added to 3 to create 2 as y value.

so, d. is correct.

the square root makes it necessary that x >=1, because for smaller x values the square root would be for a negative value, which is not defined for real numbers.

and the maximum for y is for x=1 : y=3.

for larger x values the y values just go further down.

so, h. is the second right answer.
