How do I solve for -7(8x - 3) < 133

first fill out the bracket

-7*8x = -56x

-7*-3 = 21

So the equation is now

-56x+21< 133

Now transpose to get -56x by itself

-56x+21 -21< 133-21

-56x< 112

Then transpose to get x by itself

-56x/-56< 112/-56

Therefore

x< -2
