Because you are multiplying it by the -, if it was g(x) would stay the same, but it is asking you for -g(x), so 4x-5 times -g(x) will be -4x+5, hope it helps:)

Because it’s subtracting, the entire g(x) is multiplied by - which makes the -5 a +5. Just as the 4x goes to -4x.
