Natasha was thinking of a number. Natasha halves it and gets an answer of 3.4. What was the

original number?

Answer: Let the number is x,

So according to the first condition ,

1<x<6…that means x will be 2,3,4,5…..(i)

Again according to second condition,

4<x<8….that means x will be 5,6,7…..(ii)

Now ,from (i) and (ii)…..

Number possible is 5.

Therefore x will be 5.

Hence proved.

Explanation:

Since it was halve you do the opposite which is doubling

3.4 x 3=6.8
