The answer is 15.

Explanation:

So the problem with this equation, note that the question does not state this which does make it confusing, is that the x is in the wrong place.

So instead of 5/6.25 = x/12

It's actually 5/6.25 = 12/x, entirely changing the problem.

When we cross multiply we'll end up having an equation like this:

5x = 6.25 x 12

6.25 x 12 = 75

75/5 = 15

Therefore our answer is 15.

(sorry for the bad explanation I'm only in 7th).

Explanation:

5 lawns mowed - x hours

12 lawns mowed - 9.6 hours

Hence,
