Answer \rightarrow\large\boxed{y=2}

Explanation:

To start off, you are given two equations. One in standard form and one that is already solved for
x.

Since
x=(7y)/(5), you already know the
x value.

Therefore to find what y equals, plug in whatever x is into the other equation. (remember x is 7y/5)

\rightarrow5((7y)/(5) )-3y=8

\rightarrow5*(7y)/(5) -3y=8

\rightarrow7y-3y=8

\rightarrow4y=8

\rightarrow(4y)/(4) =(8)/(4)

\rightarrow\large\boxed{y=2}
