First add the whole numbers: 3+4 = 7
Set that aside.

Then add the fractions. Since they have the same denominator, you just add the numerators:
3/5 + 3/5 = 6/5
But 6>5, so you can take 5 of those 6/5 to make a new whole and leaving you just with 1/5.
6/5 = 1 + 1/5

Put that all together 7 + 1 + 1/5 = 8 and 1/5.
