Answer:

Equation of line : y - y1 = m(x - x1)

where x and y are are the point in form

(x , y)

where m is the slope.

Calculate slope using points:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = ( 5 - 2)/( - 3 - 6)

m = - (1)/(3)

Sub points into slope point formula:

y = - (1)/(3) x + c

sub 1 point for x and y:

5 = - (1)/(3) ( - 3) + c

solve for c:

5 = 1 + c

c = 4

sub c back into equation :

y = - (1)/(3) x + 4
