Why were farmers forced to leave their homes during the Dust Bowl?

Answer:

Because of the severe drought that took place during that time. Farmers were unable to grow their crops becuase of the lack of water. Therefore they were not able to sell any crops to make money, or to feed thier famliles. As a result, they had to pack up their belongings and move to try and find better oppertunities.

Farmers were forced to leave their homes because farming became almost impossible in the dusty conditions. Additionally, during the dust bowl, there was a lot of drought, and close to zero rainfall. This caused the soil to dry up, and be unable to grow crops.
