Given:

The equation is:

2-(5)/(6)x=(7)/(8)

To find:

The simplified for of the given equation so that it does have fractions.

Solution:

We have,

2-(5)/(6)x=(7)/(8)

Denominators values are 6 and 8. LCM of 6 and 8 is 24 so multiply both sides by 24.

24\left(2-(5)/(6)x\right)=24* (7)/(8)

24(2)-24\left((5)/(6)x\right)=24* (7)/(8)

48-4* 5x=3* 7

48-20x=21

Therefore, the required equation is
48-20x=21.
