Mr. Mann asked his class to form a number pattern using the rules:

Use the number 6 as the first term.

To find the other term, subtract 2 from the previous term, then multiply by 2.

The first two numbers in the pattern are 6 and 8.

What is the fourth number in the pattern?

Answer:

20

Explanation:

when you subtract 2 from 6 you get 4. so you multiply 4 into 2 which give the answer 8. when you subtract 2 from 8 you get 6 and then you multiply 6 to 2 which gives the answer 12... next you subtract 2 from 12 which gives the answer 10. so you multiply 10 to 2 Which gives the final answer for you which is 20.
