So, you would just need to know the square roots of the square.

Triangle 1. First square:
√(36)=6 So side length of first one is 6 yd.

Second square:
√(18)=4.24 So side length of second square is 4.24 yd.

Third square: 36-18=18 So the side length is the same as the second square which is 4.24 yd.

Triangle 2. Repeat the process for all of these problems.

First square:
√(125)=about 11.18.

Second square:
√(100)=10.

Third square: 125-100=25. So,
√(25)=5.

Triangle 3. This is an isosceles triangle meaning 2 sides are the same length.

First and Second square are the same.
√(32)=5.66.

Third square=32+32=64. So,
√(64)=8.
