Perimeter smaller rectangle: 2(x+1)+2x = 2x+2+2x

= 4x+2

Perimeter larger rectangle: 2(4x-5)+2(3x-1) = 8x-10+6x-2

= 14x -12

2(4x+2)+2 = 14x-12

8x+4+2 = 14x - 12

8x + 6 = 14x - 12

6 + 12 = 14x - 8x

18 = 6x

x = 3

14*3-12 = 30 meters
