We know that, Two angles are said to be complementary, if the sum of their measures is 90°.

According to the Question,

∠ABD + ∠DBC = 90°

(2x + 30)° + (3x + 20)° = 90°

2x + 30° + 3x + 20° = 90°

5x + 50° = 90°

5x = 90° - 50°

5x = 40°

x = 40°/5

x = 8

So, the measure of each angle will be,

∠ABD = (2x + 30)°

= 2 × 8 + 30°

= 16 + 30°

= 46°

∠DBC = (3x + 20)°

= 3 × 8 + 30°

= 24 + 30°

= 54°
