Answer:

E

Explanation:

Distance = 1/3(week -1) + ¾

= 1/3(7) + ¾

= 7/3 + 3/4

= 28/12 + 9/12

= 37/12 miles

E

Camille was walking 3/4 mile daily
Each week she added an additional 1/3 mile.
This can be represented by the expression 3/4 + 1/3x, where x is the amount of weeks after she started walking. 1 week after she started walking would be her second week walking. 2 weeks after she started walking would be her 3rd week walking, so on and so forth.

Here x = 7 because it would be Camille’s 7th week after she originally started walking only 3/4 mile each day. It would be her 8th full week walking though.

7 x 1/3 = 7/3

3/4 + 7/3
9/12 + 28/12
37/12
To add 3/4 + 7/3, find the LCD of 3 and 4. The LCD of 3 and 4 is 12. 3/4 becomes 9/12 and 7/3 becomes 28/12. 28/12 + 9/12 = 37/12, so the answer is E.
