Spit the shape of the bedroom 1 into rectangle and trapezoid, then calculate each area, then add them together.

Dimensions of rectangle:

• 3 m by (1.7 + 3.4 + 1.7) = 6.8 m

Its area:

• 3*6.8 = 20.4 m²

Dimensions of trapezoid:

• 1 m height, bases 2.2 m and (6.8 - 1.5) = 5.3 m

Its area:

• 1*(2.2 + 5.3)/2 = 3.75 m²

Area of the room:

• 20.4 + 3.75 = 24.15 m²
