What is karotyping and why is it important? Please give me a detailed response in your own words

Karotyping: process of photographs of chromosomes that are taken in order to determine the chromosome complement of a person or individual. It’s important because it’s a test to identify and evaluate the shape, sizes, and number of chromosomes in body cells.
