Answer:

(3, - 6 )

Explanation:

Given endpoints (x₁, y₁ ) and (x₂, y₂ ) then the midpoint is

(
(x_(1)+x_(2) )/(2) ,
(y_(1)+y_(2) )/(2) )

Here (x₁, y₁ ) = (10, - 3) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 4, - 9) , then

midpoint = (
(10-4)/(2) ,
(-3-9)/(2) ) = (
(6)/(2) ,
(-12)/(2) ) = (3, - 6 )

  • (10,-3)
  • (-4,-9)

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow (x,y)=\left((x_1+x_2)/(2)_(y_1+y_2)/(2)\right)

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow (x,y)=\left((10-4)/(2),(-3-9)/(2)\right)

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow (x,y)=\left((6)/(2),(-12)/(2)\right)

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow (x,y)=(3,-6)
