Answer:

y = - 2x - 4

Explanation:

Slope intercept eqn:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

P = (-4,4) and Q = (-3,2)

Let (x1, y1) = (-4,4) and (x2, y2) = (-3,2).

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = ( 2 - 4)/( - 3 - ( - 4)) = ( - 2)/(1) = - 2

Therefore the equation of the line in slope-intercept form :

y - 4 = - 2(x - ( - 4)) \\ y - 4 = - 2(x + 4) \\ y - 4 = - 2x - 8 \\ y = - 2x - 8 + 4 \\ y = - 2x - 4
