Answer is below

x > 2

How I did it

What I first did was divide 3x + 6 by 3 because when you multiply by 1/3 it's basically just dividing by 3.

5x+x+2>14

Simplify

6x+2>14

Subtract 2 on both sides

6x>12

Since you want to get x by itself you divide both sides by 6, singling out x

x>2

Hope this helps!

Answer:

5x + (1)/(3) (3x + 6) > 14 \\ lcm = 3 \\ \\ (3 * 5x) + 3 * (1)/(3) (3x + 6) > 14 * 3 \\ \\ 15x + 3x + 6 > 42 \\ 18x + 6 > 42 \\ 18x > 42 - 6 \\ 18x > 36 \\ x > 2
