Haiku is a Japanese poetic form. It consists of 3 lines.
The first line has 5 syllables.
The second line has 7 syllables.
The third line has 5 syllables.
Traditionally the poems are about nature, usually using weather or seasonal words.
This type of poem does not have to Rhyme.
Example…
“The old Pond” by Matsuo Beshō
An old silent pond
A frog jumps into the pond-
Splash! Silence again.

I hope this helps!
